&. guidelines
( I ) GENERAL despite being the hermit that i mentioned earlier, i promise i don't bite. i can bit a little awkward and sometimes quiet, but in general, if there any concerns or questions that you have, i would be happy to answer them. i just ask that you approach me like anyone else, with care and respect. i don't take kindly to aggressive gestures and frankly, i am too old to deal with that sort of behavior.
( II ) LORE i could care less, honestly. i don't really mind lore-bending as i personally believe that some really cool ideas can flourish from that. of course, i am sure that there can be limits to how much lore-bending there is, but for me, as long as it doesn't harm anyone or make roleplaying unmanagable, go crazy, do all of the cool stuff.
( III ) IC / OOC this one i am going to keep simple and straight to the point. i am not my characters. what happens ic strictly stays ic. please do not confuse ic and ooc. if you have questions or concerns, approach me ooc and we can most definitely talk about it. also, my characters could be mean, upset, snappy, or cold, but again, those are my characters, not me. i draw a hard line on ooc and ic interactions and i do my best to avoid confusing the two.
( IV ) PLOTTING i will always make time to figure out connections and talk about how our characters could interact in certain situations. i personally really enjoy brainstorming ideas and i try to throw as much as i can out there based on what i know of the character. please do not hesitate to come to me and talk about these things, i will yap your ear off if you let me.
( V ) WRITING SPEED i have good days and bad days. there will be times where i am super slow to respond but usually i try to get a response back within a certain amount of time, which for me could be a week at max. i also am a full-time student at the moment so my time can be a bit split. if for some reason, i haven't responded in weeks, i usually inform the individual but there have been cases where i have forgotten or have been very busy and needed reminding. please don't hesitate to poke me in such circumstances, i appreciate that very much.
( VI ) SHIPPING shipping is loads of fun, i really don't mind talking about potential romances or interactions that lead up to it. but i do have boundaries and i prefer shipping be in line with plot progress. i usually don't ship my characters without reason or some established relations. i haven't been in a multi-ship situation before so i cannot say how i feel about that personally, i try to put myself in my oc's shoes in that situation.
( VII ) BOUNDARIES there are certain aspects of roleplay that i do find very uncomfortable, i steer clear of those. rape and dubious consent are ones that i will absolutely not participate in so don't even ask. i do not roleplay with minors; a lot of my characters touch upon mature and dark themes. i also just don't feel comfortable with the interaction so please respect that. godmodding and disrespecting others is something that i absolutely do not tolerate and our interaction will end very quickly. aside from that, i am honestly open to all sorts of themes for roleplay, my characters are a mix of different genres so i am more than happy to work with whatever you are comfortable with.
( VIII ) ASK ME when in doubt, just ask me. i will happily talk through whatever your concerns or questions are. like i said earlier, i am a bit awkward, but i am very open to communication, so don't hesitate! some things that i will mention, please approach me about ideas that pertain to character death, potential disfigurement, and captivity. those are very big decisions that i would rather work through and brainstorm on. i don't like to be surprised with things like that.

Mehrunnisa has uniquely shaped brows that are thick and almost angled in a way where she seems slightly concerned all the time.She always wears mehndi on her hands and feet and when she notices the color fading, she'll be quick to reapply the paste to deepen the rich color once more. Often times, she is bejeweled in different accessories such as naths, payal, chudiyaan, and earrings, all of varying sizes and complexities. ( I ) Between ruins & records (common) Constantly delving into ruins, historical cities, caves, and underground sites is a pass time. Mehrunnisa tends to collect old records and ledgers, books in need of repair, archives, and any other papers and scrolls she can get her hands on. Have something you don't want or need? Send it her way and she'll gladly take it off your hands, cost or not. Alternatively, need something that she has? She'll give it away...for a price, favors suffice too.
( II ) Discreet Delivery (common) While wandering the lands around her, Mehrunnisa is often hired to deliver all sorts of messages and packages. Be they of legitimate origins or more so on the greyer side. Mehrunnisa has some boundaries, often weighing the risks, and she tends to demand higher pay, especially if it's a special sort of package or requires extra discretion.
( III ) For a Price (common) Over time, during her travels, Mehrunnisa has learned that information can be just as worthwhile as the value of gil. While deliveries remain her most favored form of work, she has also been hired to gather rumors, listen out for curious happenings, or step in as a companion where an extra pair of eyes and ears might prove more useful. She asks little questions so long as the terms are explicitly clear among the party, the risks understood, and the payment worthwhile.
( IV ) On Borrowed Time (uncommon) Mehrunnisa enjoys sticking around places for as long as she can, but eventually, she moves on. There is almost an urgency to her movements, a need to look behind her. As if she's looking out for something... or someone. Rumor has it that there are a few mysterious figures asking around for information about someone who fits Mehrunnisa's description to a tee.
( V ) A Lingering Touch (uncommon) Secrets are often buried, not all of course, some remain just beneath the surface. Through physical contact, Mehrunnisa can peer into the memories of others if she chooses. This blessing? Curse? Sensitivity?? Remains firmly under her control and she is careful about when and why she would use it. Despite that, concentration is a fickle thing and there have been moments of distraction that have accidentally granted her glimpses she never was meant to see. Whether meaningfully or by accident, memories have a way of lingering long after the touch has ended.
( VI ) Lullaby in the night (rare) Rumor has it that a figure has been spotted on the edges of the shore, jewelry chiming hauntingly in the stillness of the night. Sometimes waist deep in water, she can be heard singing sorrowfully. Multiple accounts from strangers mention hearing such a melodic voice and feeling compelled to follow the song to the edges of the shore.
( VII ) A Curious Melody (rare) No matter how much you ask, her answer will be that she can't truly stop this form of...communication? She doesn't really talk, more so, sings as a way of speaking. Anytime she attempts to speak about the truth behind her predicament, her throat tightens and she can barely gasp out a sentence.
( VIII ) Hidden in plain sight (rare) Among the bangles that she often wears, there is always a particularly larger one that Mehrunnisa rarely takes off. It is easily distinguishable. She guards it dearly, for those sensitive to aether and unique spells, they might sense something off about this bangle.

♪ family background. She was raised between two worlds and learned early on that neither could fully claim her as their own. While her siblings found comfort following one way of life, Mehrunnisa constantly wandered between both, following in her father's path and often stepping into her mother's world. She learned different customs, languages, cultures, and traditions. To this day she cherishes these parts of her and carries a bit of both worlds though she rarely speaks on it and even less of her family.
♪ early life. Mehrunnisa spent her youth chasing her curiosities, often asking questions that earned her amused sighs and gentle indulgences from those around her. Despite all that has happened to her, that quiet curiosity, the kind that gets you into all sorts of trouble, never quite abandoned her. Many of the habits that shaped her curious nature can still be found in the intrigued shimmer of her eyes and the slight cant of her head. The tendency to lose herself in unfamiliar environments and the desire to know more than she perhaps should still lingers there.The rest of her history? She keeps close to herself, guarded and hidden behind tall walls.
♪ adolescence. In the blink of an eye, everything was gone. There is a period of Mehrunnisa's life that she rarely discusses, if ever. Questions about her family are met with deflections and hard looks. Inquiries regarding her past are redirected and deemed unnecessary to discuss. Is it due to caution? Privacy? Grief? Or just a disinterest in the topic? Who could say.Whatever did happen, she emerged from it forever changed.
♪ young adult. There were only two options left for her, be forever lost or continue forward. Mehrunnisa chose to keep pushing on.The transition from one life to the next was not seamless. New connections had to be forged, and old ones had to be tested. Trust was something Mehrunnisa realized that she must offer sparingly, it was better to be safe than sorry. Despite her hardships and every difficulty, she endured.Those who know her now may find it hard to imagine that she was anything other than guarded and private. That there was a part of her that used to be so full of life and joy.
♪ present day. Mehrunnisa works as a courier by trade and a traveler by inclination, often moving from one place to the next. Bit by bit, through perseverance and self-reliance, she has carved a life for herself. Yet despite that, there are moments when the ache of loneliness and grief hiding within her reveals itself from time to time, just beneath the surface.
